There are a number of reasons to participate in #GeriMedJC!
Keep up to date on the latest literature in geriatric medicine. All physicians are faced with the challenge of keeping abreast of a rapidly evolving medical literature. Even in 1875, William Osler recognized this problem and established a journal club to provide a solution.
Engage internationally. Appraise medical literature with content, methodology and advocacy experts around the world. Sometimes, an author of the study will chime in too!
Open your world. Unlike traditional format journal clubs, #GeriMedJC engages discussion not limited to space, time, or profession. This is a community content driven initiative.
Advocate and innovate. Network with other like-minded individuals and organizations to improve care for seniors.
Earn maintenance of certification credits. Participation in #GeriMedJC is also eligible for accredited Section 1 maintenance of certification credits from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons. Evaluate the session using this form. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to receive documentation of your participation.
